Turning 35 or 45 years old & want to play Australian Rules football? Then come and join in the fun. Help the club continue as a major force in the competition and enjoy the atmosphere of this great family club.
Location
The club is located in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
Training:
Mernda Football Ground
Waterview Recreation Reserve, Waterview Drive, Mernda, Victoria.
Home Games:
Bundoora Football Ground
Yulong Reserve, Corner of Plenty Road and Bent Street Bundoora, Victoria.
Training
The physical demands of playing football require that competitors of all ages maintain their fitness. All players are encouraged to attend the clubs regular training and skills sessions. Current arrangements (subject to change) are as follows:
When: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 6.30 pm
Where: Waterview Recreation Reserve (Waterview Drive, Mernda)
Pre-Season Training
Commences late November to late December and recommences late January through to season.
During Season
No training is held on the Tuesday night following game day.
Why Join Northern Districts?
If you enjoy playing Australian Rules football and are 35 years of age (or will be turning 35 at any time in the current playing year) then why not come and play for the Northern Districts AFL Masters Football Club. The club has two Superules (35+) teams and one (45+) side. Northern Districts is located in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia and comprises past players from many different local clubs. The club currently plays in the AFL Masters – Victorian Metropolitan League (North Division).
Northern Districts provides a link where friends made at local or opposing clubs over the years can continue to meet, keep fit, continue playing and offers excellent social activities for players and families alike. The club provides first class facilities with the modern Waterview Recreation Reserve, (Mernda Football Ground) being utilised for training and Yulong Reserve (Bundoora Football Ground) for home games. Games are played fortnightly (on Sundays) which allows time for family commitments (and recovery). Game commencement times are; Superules (35+) 2:45pm, Superules Reserves (35+) 12:45pm & (Over 45’s) 11:00am.
